Job Descriptions:

  • To coordinate and facilitate near miss, incident reporting and investigation process with relevant party as when required .
  • To coordinate periodic fire protection system service by appointed 3rd party conduct as per schedule and agreed scope. Report abnormality with proposed necessary counter measure if any to head of department.
  • To ensure BOMBA certificate for portable fire extinguisher at site is valid and coordinate re-certification with 3rd party before the expired date.
  • To coordinate periodic lifting gears re-qualification by 3rd party conducted as per schedule and agreed scope. Ensure 3rd party certificate and report documented and report abnormality with proposed counter measure if any to head of department.
  • To conduct, facilitate and record periodic visual inspection for Portable Fire Extinguisher, Fire Hydrant & Hose Box, Lifting Appliances and Overhead Crane and Spill kit. Report abnormality with proposed necessary counter measure if any to head of department.
  • To conduct and facilitate periodic visual inspection on first aid facilities includes first aid box, sick bay and emergency eye wash and shower. Report abnormality with proposed necessary counter measure if any.
  • Responsible person to monitor safety in all logistic work process.
  • To conduct and facilitate HSE Induction for new staff, Contractor or Visitor as when required.
  • PPE compliance for employee in the shop floor – to mentor and enforce (as and when necessary).
  • Conduct weekly toolbox meeting for production.
  • Conduct HIRARC for new activity/process which exposed to significant risk to employees.
  • Plan monthly physical inspection for critical equipment such overhead crane and its accessories coordinate by HSE Supervisor.
  • Do HSE monthly report according to company requirements.
  • To perform HSE verification for application of Permit To Work (PTW) as when required.
  • To conduct regular site HSE surveillance, to enforce HSE work practice and minimize at-risk behavior and condition through personal engagement and intervention.
  • To supervise and facilitate safe operation of critical non-routine activities includes conducting Job Hazard Safety Analysis (JHSA) briefing prior commencing the critical activities.
  • Assist in HSE promotions and awareness program
  • To participate actively in HSE Management System Audit (OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 etc.) and inspection by internal auditor, certification body, client or authorities (DOSH, DOE etc.) as when required.
  • To facilitate periodic HSE Committee Workplace Inspection and act as Secretary of Committee in absence of HSE Officer or Manager.
  • To supervise command and control during activation of site Emergency or Drill and act as Head of ERT in absence of HSE Officer or Manager.
  • To adhere with other assignment given by department managers from time to time as when required.
  • To fully comply with company safety rules and regulation and Code of Conduct as when Required.
  • Submit daily HSE report to HSE Engineer.
  • All other task that is related to job scope given to the management from time to time.
  • Adhere to all the Quality/Safety & Environmental requirements.
  • Distribute PPE to the employees accordingly and manage the record of the stock inside the PPE Store.

Requirements:

  • Attended Safety & Health Officer Certification course by NIOSH or equivalent.
  • Minimum education certificate SPM or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year related experience on metal fabrication or manufacturing facility.
  • Basic safety knowledge in metal pipe or structure fabrication will be added an advantage.
