- Good knowledge in repair, preventive maintenance and testing and commissioning methodologies and instruments: or availability of such resources/services.
- Possess strong analytical thinking skill and communication skill.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Ability to multi-task, good planning, coordination and follow-up skills.
- Creative and able to provide options and solutions.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in MS Office applications; Excel (Advanced level), Word and Powerpoint.
- Able to start within short notice preferred.
Full Job Description
- Implementing and monitoring standard operating policies and procedures that are in line with the requirements of the relevant Acts, Statutes and Regulations i.e:Medical Devices Act, OSH Act, etc.
- Ensure that all biomedical equipment is safe for use by staff, doctors, visitors and patient.
- Renew all the biomedical equipment licenses in time for the yearly Hospital license renewal & Accreditation.
- Monitoring all outsourced contract works on medical equipment to ensure they are in good working condition and conform to the designed safety standards.
- Assist in implementing standard operating policies, work instructions and procedures for all biomedical equipment.
- Work with the Procurement and end-user department to ensure new equipment are received, calibrated and commissioned prior to installation and use in the end-user areas.
- Work with the equipment vendors to implement periodic training for end-user and biomedical engineering staff.
- Work with the Hospital’s Safety Officer to implement, monitor and train staff in all relevant occupational health and safety programmed.
- Cost-effective management of the department and of all equipment within the jurisdiction of the department by performing regular checks on all gas supplies and systems to always ensure uninterrupted supply.
- Provide technical advice and support in relation to medical device to Biomedical Engineering Manager in the process of procuring new device.
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 60 months
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
