Description

Primary Objective:
  • To support the Head, Motor Portfolio in managing the daily operation of the underwriting unit.

Lead motor underwriting team in achieving organization’s objective


Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for underwriting Motor Insurance in accordance to the Underwriting Guidelines and Authority limits.
  • Provide support to BD staff within authority acceptance limit in accordance to the Company and the Authority (including PIAM, BNM etc.) Guidelines.
  • Monitor loss ratio and review on rate, terms and condition during renewal scrutiny.
  • Ensuring compliance of Bank Negara Guidelines relating to Underwriting.
  • Staff coaching.
  • Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Management from time to time.
  • Attend enquiries / calls from CRC / BD staff on system issues.
  • Attend to DIAMOND - Pending Approval cases referred by CRC, BD staff.
  • To ensure system’s compliance of Bank Negara Guidelines relating to Motor Underwriting
  • To attend to any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
  • To check the system to be in accordance with underwriting guidelines.
  • Observes referred and declined risks / cases.
  • Provides technical underwriting support to other units.
  • Assist superior on approval in the system within authority limit.
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree - • Degree or equivalent professional qualification in insurance or any other relevant discipline..

  • • Insurance related accreditation such as AMII, and CMII.


5 years

  • Excellent computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Capable to motivate self and the team in achieving goals.

Capable in leading team to complete tasks within the expected timeframe.
