As an AWS Cloud Operations Support L2 Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the smooth operation of our AWS cloud infrastructure and services. In this key role, you will provide second-level technical support and ensure timely resolutions for cloud infrastructure issues. Working in collaboration with system administrators, L1 engineers, and developers, your role is critical in ensuring optimal performance and high availability of AWS services.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support: Provide second-level support for AWS cloud incidents and service requests. Collaborate with L1 support to ensure efficient issue escalation and resolution.
AWS Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve issues related to AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, networking, security, and storage.
Monitoring & Alerts: Implement and maintain monitoring and alert systems (e.g., CloudWatch) to proactively identify and mitigate potential performance issues, vulnerabilities, and capacity constraints.
Incident Management: Handle incidents following established procedures, ensuring tickets are properly managed, documented, and resolved in a timely manner.
AWS Deployments: Assist with the deployment and configuration of AWS services, such as EC2 instances, VPC, RDS databases, and S3 storage solutions.
Best Practices: Collaborate with the operations team to define and implement best practices for AWS infrastructure management and optimization.
On-Call Support: Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical incidents and perform root cause analysis as needed.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated on AWS product updates, new features, and emerging cloud technologies to deliver effective support and guidance.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent field (relevant experience may substitute for a degree).
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in cloud operations, specifically with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and IAM.
Proven troubleshooting skills across AWS infrastructure, including networking, security, and performance.
Familiarity with Linux/Unix system administration and scripting languages (Python, Bash).
Knowledge of ITIL processes (incident management, problem management) and experience working within these frameworks.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
Familiarity with cloud monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and ELK Stack is preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities.
