Must have at least 1 to 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in the hospitality industry, especially in repairs, servicing, and maintenance of air-conditioners, electrical wiring, and audio-visual systems. 1. Keep all equipment in good repair with a minimum of downtime by providing day-to-day maintenance of the hotel. 2. Complete maintenance work orders from all departments on a timely basis by following the hotel's standard operating procedures. 3. Continually work towards and support the improvement of maintenance service to guests, other departments, and fellow staff. 4. Respond and attend to guest repair requests. 5. Understand and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and other systems 6. Check for new maintenance requests and update once the task is completed and work order form/Job card and file them. 7. Ability to interpret readings from meters & gauges and other measuring units and understand test equipment, measuring devices, and safety manuals. 8. Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments, work under pressure situations exercise good judgment, focus attention on details, speed, and accuracy, and maintain the confidentiality of hotel guests and pertinent hotel information. 9. Perform maintenance activities in the guest room and hotel public areas e.g. plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing, servicing, and maintaining all types of hardware, and electrical equipment including lamps, air conditioners / HVAC and AC ducts, etc, and cosmetic items, etc. 10. Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and maintenance-related inventory duties. 11. Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on all types of equipment and clean, lubricate, protect, and otherwise maintain all tools and equipment in the hotel. 12. Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot all equipment, devices, and systems. 13. To operate as an independent mechanic by analyzing problems, identifying courses of action, and implementing solutions with available resources and to a high degree of quality. 14. To be available for any emergencies and act in an engineering capacity to protect guests and associates, and preserve the building and its systems during the emergency. 15. To monitor Fire Alarm or Life Safety System systems as necessary, to be fully informed of the system operation, and to handle emergencies involving the systems. 16. Read and understand blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical parts breakdown 17. Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed and prepare monthly reports. 18. Maintains the hotel facility and related equipment safely and efficiently. 19. Performs other duties as assigned by the Hotel Manager, Duty Manager, Management, and other colleagues. 20. Verify that all AV equipment needed is in the inventory before the event. Operate and maintain all hotel house in-audio systems, also assist and instruct guests/customers regarding proper usage/operation of AV equipment. 21. Ensure all equipment is fully operational, repaired, and cleaned as and when necessary.
