Overview

Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation: Assist in preparing ingredients, including washing, chopping, and marinating, following recipes and portion guidelines.
  • Cooking: Support the cooking process by monitoring food as it cooks, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Cleaning & Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including proper sanitation of all equipment, utensils, and work areas.
  • Dishwashing: Efficiently wash dishes, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashers or by hand, ensuring all items are sanitized.
  • Stock Management: Help with inventory management by receiving deliveries, storing supplies, and notifying supervisors of low stock levels.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with fellow kitchen staff and communicate clearly with chefs and management during service.
  • Assisting with Service: Prepare food for plating and assist with serving during busy periods.
  • Adherence to Standards: Follow food safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Learning and Development: Participate in training and development opportunities to improve skills and knowledge of kitchen operations.

Qualifications

  • Previous kitchen experience is a plus but not required; we are willing to train the right candidates.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety practices.
