LOGISTICS EXECUTIVE - SELAYANG

A Logistics Executive plays a key role in overseeing and coordinating the logistics operations of a company. The job scope typically involves managing the supply chain, ensuring the efficient movement of goods, and overseeing the storage, transportation, and delivery processes. Here's a breakdown of the typical responsibilities:

1. Supply Chain Management

Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations to ensure the efficient flow of goods from suppliers to customers.

Manage inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock.

Work closely with suppliers, vendors, and customers to streamline operations and ensure deadlines are met.

2. Transportation Management

Organize and oversee the logistics of shipments, including scheduling deliveries and managing transport providers (e.g., air, sea, road).

Negotiate contracts with carriers and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to optimize costs.

Monitor the performance of logistics service providers to ensure timely and safe delivery.

3. Warehouse and Inventory Control

Oversee warehouse operations, including the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods.

Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock counts.

Implement systems for tracking inventory and replenishment.

4. Documentation and Compliance

Ensure all shipping documents, customs declarations, and other regulatory paperwork are accurately prepared and maintained.

Stay updated on international shipping regulations and customs laws to ensure compliance.

Prepare invoices, purchase orders, and coordinate with finance teams for timely payments and financial reporting.

5. Budget and Cost Control

Monitor logistics budgets and control transportation, storage, and shipping costs.

Identify cost-saving opportunities through efficient logistics planning and negotiations with service providers.

6. Problem Solving and Troubleshooting

Address any logistical challenges such as shipment delays, customs issues, or damaged goods.

Coordinate with internal teams to ensure solutions are implemented effectively.

7. Performance Reporting

Generate regular reports on key logistics metrics, such as delivery times, inventory levels, and cost performance.

Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in logistics processes.

8. Relationship Management

Build and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, shipping companies, and other logistics partners.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as procurement, sales, and production to align logistics activities with overall business objectives.

9. Technology and Systems

Utilize logistics management software (e.g., TMS, WMS) to monitor and optimize transportation, inventory, and warehouse operations.
