Tellers play an important role in the branch. Tellers are the first persons the customers meet when they walk into the Branch. Therefore please be very courteous to all customers to ensure that we get their business. 1. Welcome and greet all the potential customers who come to the branch. 2. Attend to any enquiry by customer with a smile and answer all the enquiries respectfully. If you have doubts, refer to the Chief Teller or Branch Supervisor. Role of Teller 3. Be very familiar with the System. (i) Always comply with the System requirements as all the AML (Anti-Money Laundering), CFT (Counter Financing of Terrorism) & KYC (Know Your Customers) requirements have been programmed into the System. (ii) Count all monies received from the Customer or to be given to Customer in front of the Customer. (iii) Endeavour to ensure that only genuine currency notes are received or sold (iv) Issue Company receipts for all the transactions done. (v) Be alert for Suspicious Transactions/unusual requests and refer to Chief Teller/Supervisor. (vi) Refer to Chief Teller/Supervisor in the event there are situations which you may find difficult to manage or respond immediately.
