Summary:

Responsible for the overall media planning process. Supervises personnel assigned to those accounts. This person is required to have a solid understanding of the client’s business and apply their media recommendation to deliver against the client’s objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and be the guardian of the media plans and budgets.
  • Ensure work delivered to the client is of the highest standard; review all key documents and presentations before distribution
  • Be an active contributor presenting to clients and agency meetings
  • Develop close relationships with clients and agency partners
  • Work with the team to actively improve the optimization of campaigns and procedures
  • Support with campaign briefing – providing comments on target, channel, budget, timeline
  • Ensure media plans comply with the client’s long-term brief and strategy. Be able to confidently challenge and question assumptions and recommendations that have been made to ensure the best possible delivery for the client
  • Ensure standard processes are rolled out across campaigns
  • Champion innovative media solutions in every media plan and push the boundaries of conventional communication thinking
  • Work with internal specialist units to deliver the best response/service to clients
  • Create and maintain relationships with external agencies and key media partners
  • Have a solid understanding of both offline and digital media channels
  • Any additional ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the superior.

Leadership and Management

  • Ensure successful financial reconciliations successfully
  • Assume day-to-day responsibility for the entire account, working with individual client teams
  • Support the Associate Director in managing the team
  • Identify organic growth via incremental revenue opportunities
  • Inspire the team, leading by example, providing clear direction, feedback, and support

Job Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of managerial experience working agency-side in an international or local media agency role, with an understanding of Media Markets
  • Must have strong digital knowledge, both across planning and activation
  • Strong Excel skills and experience writing media plans
  • Able to produce strong insights
  • Able to present to senior-level clients and also peers
  • Able to work under pressure and multiple deadlines
  • Excellent communicator
