Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head of Market Surveillance to monitor and analyze various activities within MIBG to identify potential compliance risk and violations.
- Utilised compliance surveillance tools and systems to conduct regular reviews and analysis of data, transactions, communications and other relevant information.
- Assist in conducting periodic reviews of the Front Office Monitoring System thresholds to ensure effectiveness and relevance.
- Assist to prepare, manage and implement compliance initiatives and compliance work plan for Market Surveillance to ensure alignment with the direction of MIBG.
- Assist in monthly reporting on market surveillance to Board / Management / Committee and/or regulator bodies.
- Assist in/attend to regulatory inquiries e.g., Bursa Malaysia, Securities Commission, if any pertaining to market surveillance.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, MIBG’s policies and procedures, including establishing and maintaining control processes relating to market surveillance.
Requirements:
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Investment, Business, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or other relevant fields.
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in surveillance, compliance, investment banking, trading operations, corporate finance, or other related fields.
- Able to work independently with critical and analytical skills, strong judgment and proficiency in project management.
- Familiarity with concepts and relevant regulations on market abuse within the capital market industry especially equities and derivatives market.
- Proficient in English and Malay communication including strong written communication, with additional language skills in Mandarin and Cantonese is advantageous.
