Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and update corporate travel policies to ensure compliance, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with company goals.
- Negotiate contracts with airlines, hotels, car rental companies, and travel agencies to secure favorable rates and terms to support global programs.
- Create annual travel commodity strategies.
- Monitor travel expenses, reimbursements and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Assess and mitigate travel-related risks for employees, duty-of-care and work closely with the risk management partner and Global Security.
- Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements related to corporate travel, including visa and immigration laws.
- Implement and manage travel management system/tools: Concur Travel, Concur Request and Concur Expense.
- Provide guidance, educate employees and support to employees regarding travel and business expense policies, booking tools, processes, and other travel-related inquiries.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and enhance traveler satisfaction through feedback and data analysis.
- Build and maintain strong relationship with travel suppliers to solve issues promptly and leverage partnership for mutual benefits.
- Conduct assessment and evaluation of supplier through a Supplier Performance Review (SPR).
- Implement initiatives to promote sustainable travel practices.
- Develop and implement contingency plans for travel disruptions, emergencies, crisis, and ensuring employee’s safety.
- Manage corporate Travel and Expense (T&E) credit card, Business Travel Account (BTA), Central Meeting Card (CMC) and virtual cards program globally.
- Support C-level executives and Board of Directors’ meetings and events – contract negotiation and payments.
- Benchmarking within travel industry on travel technologies and best practice.
Qualification
- BS in Travel and Tourism from an accredited University.
- With at least 10-year experience in managing corporate travel.
- Certified Corporate Travel Executive (CCTE) or Certified Travel Counselor (CTC) is a plus.
- Knowledgeable on the Global Distribution System (i.e Sabre, Wordspan, Amadeus, etc.).
- Has experience on change management, global travel program implementation and harmonization, project management.
- Has a strong understanding of the travel industry, including airline, hotel, car rental, travel technology platforms and Expense Management System (i.e Concur, GetThere).
- Has implementation experience to implement Concur solutions, TMC implementation, integration with the system (i.e Credit card integration to Concur systems, TMC integration to Crisis Management Systems, etc).
- Has strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be willing to Travel (10%).
