WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You will be based in Pusat Rehabilitasi PERKESO Tun Abdul Razak, Melaka (working closely with our F&B Department).

WHAT YOU’LL DO
1. Food Preparation:
• Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
• Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and portioning, ensuring accuracy and adherence to food safety standards.
• Execute cooking techniques such as grilling, sautéing, baking, and roasting to produce high-quality dishes.
2. Menu Support
• Collaborate with the culinary team to develop menus that meet the nutritional needs and preferences of clients with diverse dietary requirements.
• Contribute ideas and suggestions for new dishes and menu items that incorporate seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
• Assist in the creation of specialized menus for clients with dietary restrictions or medical conditions.
3. Food Presentation
• Plate dishes attractively and according to established standards, paying attention to portion sizes, garnishes, and visual appeal.
• Ensure that meals are served at the appropriate temperature and consistency to enhance the dining experience for clients.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas, including proper storage of ingredients, equipment, and utensils.
4. Quality Control
• Monitor food quality throughout the preparation and cooking process, ensuring adherence to standards of taste, texture, and appearance.
• Conduct regular inspections of food storage areas, refrigeration units, and workstations to maintain compliance with food safety regulations.
• Follow proper sanitation procedures and HACCP guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and foodborne illnesses.
5. Team Collaboration
• Work closely with other members of the culinary team, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff, to coordinate meal preparation and service.
• Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and timely delivery of meals to clients.
• Provide support and assistance to colleagues as needed, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
6. Training and Development
• Continuously enhance culinary skills and knowledge through participation in training sessions, workshops, and culinary education programs.
• Seek opportunities for cross-training and skill development in various areas of kitchen operations.
• Actively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the culinary team.
7. Adherence to Policies and Procedures
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations governing food service operations and kitchen safety.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information and adhere to ethical standards of professional conduct.
• Report any food safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or incidents to appropriate personnel promptly.
8. Others Duties as Assigned
• Perform any other duty as deemed necessary by the employer

REQUIRED QUALITIES:
Candidate must possess at least SPM
At least 1 Years of working experience in the related field.
Good in Malay and English both written and spoken.
Strong team player.
