Network Engineer

Job Responsibilities :

-Manage and support Microsoft Office 365 services for the internal users.

-Provide IT support - day to day operation.

-Keep up with the hardware subscription licenses and software expiration dates , to notify IT Manager when due date is near.

-Support the P.O.S systems and Multi function printers.

-Manage the staff's door access card setup and record.

-Inventory control of all IT related items.

-Handle, backup and operational maintenance for the CCTV system.

-Maintain server hardware, server operating systems, and application software.

-Monitor daily basis on Kaspersky cloud portal on Mitec's staff computers virus statuses, eg. Any quarantined files

-Monitor performance and capacity, recommending system improvements and upgrades in virtual servers/ physical servers environments (e.g., SAN storage, VMware servers, Dell PowerEdge Enterprise Server).

-Maintain and support Microsoft Active Directory infrastructure, including DNS, domain controllers, and group policy management.

-Configure, maintain, update firmware, back up, and optimize network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, VOIP/PABX, load balancers, wireless access points).

-Keep accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, troubleshooting steps, and preventative maintenance details.

-Monitor network performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement optimization strategies.

-Continuously research and recommend new network technologies, tools, security and best practices to staff and within the IT department.

-Engage with existing and potential vendors to discuss backup plans in case of hardware or software failures.

-Provide weekly reports to the IT manager on team job current and upcoming staff standby/ support schedule, assignments, including issues, pending and completed tasks.

-Attend scheduled meetings, address customer's requirements related to IT, eg. WiFi and LAN cabling based on event orders.

-Attend weekly management meeting or any other related meetings when instructed by IT manager.

Job Requirements :

-Candidate should possess a Professional Certificates, Diploma / Advanced Diploma, Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Engineering (Computer / Telecommunication),Computer Science / Information Technology

-Preferably at least 3 years of related working experience.

-Preferably Non-Executive specializing in Information Technology or equivalent.

-Good communication skills in English,Malay language for both spoken and written.
