Design Manager

  • To be based at Puchong, Selangor
  • May extend to handling tasks across the Klang Valley and Johor regions as needed.

What you do?

  • Lead the end-to-end project management lifecycle for data center projects, from initiation to closure, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and finance, to define project requirements, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, tracking progress and mitigating risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to procure materials, equipment, and services required for project execution.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings, providing updates to stakeholders and addressing any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Manage change requests effectively, assessing impacts on project scope, schedule, and budget, and obtaining necessary approvals.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in data center construction, operation, and security.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the project team.
  • Should expert and familiar with Clouded-based document management system (e.g Procure, Autodesk or similar)
  • Should expert and familiar for project management tools to manage and track reporting deliverables and documents, RFI (request for information), submittals, transmittals, inspection, incidents, observatiocns, snag list, meetings, program, site diary, photo, drawing, specification, standard forms, coordination issued etc.

Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field; PMP certification preferred.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale data center projects, including new construction, expansion, or retrofitting.
  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including power distribution, cooling systems, networking, and server hardware.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Procore, Autodesk, or similar applications.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as ANSI/TIA-942, Uptime Institute Tier Standards, and LEED certification.
