Junior Design Engineer

Job Description

Engineering

• To provide technical assistance on various projects/tasks, as directed by the Management.
• Highly proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD software.
• To oversee engineering project(s), as directed by the Management.
• Communicate and work together with the various production head of departments to continuously improve all production processes.

Production

• Responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing metal / poly panel products and components, ensuring they meet specified standards and cost-effectiveness.
• Utilise various Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create detailed 2D and 3D drawings and models of metal products, ensuring accuracy and manufacturability.
• Utilise Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software (“Fabrication CAMduct” software) to develop detailed design models and generate CNC toolpaths.

Design

• Design components layout by using Polyplan software.
• Responsible for all states in Australia (e.g. South Australia, Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia).

Others

• To perform additional tasks or technical assistance on various projects / tasks, for various design related issue as required by the Superior or the Directors.
  

Job Requirements

• Preferred formal qualifications in industrial design – air-conditioning combined with good commercial knowledge of the products/services or extensive experience.
• Formal qualification in an Engineering field.
• Understands and practices those methods needed to achieve optimum performance in the layout of a/c units whilst ensuring all designs are commercially realistic
• Requires good time management skills
