The incumbent will work closely with various departments to ensure timely procurement, production scheduling, and delivery of products to meet customer demands.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs across procurement, production, and distribution.
  • Monitor and manage the end-to-end supply chain process, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and finished products.
  • Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms for raw materials, particularly focusing on steel and related components.
  • Develop strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliability and quality of materials.
  • Manage contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Coordinate with production teams to develop and execute production schedules that align with customer demand and inventory levels.
  • Ensure that all production activities are aligned with supply chain objectives, optimizing resource utilization and minimizing waste.
  • Manage logistics operations, including the coordination of transportation and warehousing activities.
  • Optimize distribution networks to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
  • Work with logistics providers to streamline shipping processes and reduce costs.
  • Identify and implement process improvements across the supply chain to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in supply chain management, particularly in steel fabrication and related sectors.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in steel fabrication or related industries is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles, including procurement, production planning, and logistics.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
