Costing Engineer ( Plastic Injection Moulding)

Position Purpose Responsible to manage RFQ, prepare detailed cost break down and quotations.
Job Responsibilities• Analyze customer's RFQ, prepare summary of RFQ and coordinate with technical team on feasibility, proposals of technical / costing solutions.• Communicate and coordinate with Sales team, Technical Team and Sourcing team to complete RFQ costing on time.• Reviewing and compile supplier quotes information and related project data such as costing structure, technical data and etc. • Consolidate technical RFQ inputs to prepare and submit quote & cost breakdown to Sales team within the required time frame. • Managing traceability of RFQ documents filling. • Develop detailed reports on cost/price analysis, including recommending price adjustments • Review and evaluate price variance requests from sales or customers. • Evaluate and implement pricing annually based on market price and cost of goods.

• Liaison between engineering and sales support/customer to create accurate product pricing.

• Any other adhoc task which requires time from time.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Competencies

• Able to communicate in Mandarin,Bahasa Malaysia & English fluently (oral & written).
• Required skill: Microsoft.
• Able to read and interpret engineering / manufacturing drawings, knowledge of geometric dimension and tolerance standard.
• Able to work with complex Excel spreadsheets and very familiar with Microsoft Excel.
• Able to learn and understand manufacturing processes fast and apply in costing calculations.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Disciplined and Positive Attitude and ability to work in a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Extremely well-organized and able to consistently meet stringent deadlines of multiple RFQs while working with minimal supervision and sometimes minimal information.
• Must be comfortable and skilled with clear and effective client communication conducted through in person interaction, in writing as well as over the phone.
• Preferably from Injection Moulding Industries Manufacturing background.
• With Accounting Costing background will be and added advantage.
• Need to Lead the Costing team.
