JOB SUMMARY

The Production Planning & Control Executive is responsible for effectively planning, scheduling, and coordinating all production activities to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products. This role involves collaborating with various departments to optimize production processes, minimize lead times, and manage inventory levels efficiently.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain production schedules (ERP/MRP) based on demand forecasts, resource availability, and capacity constraints.
  • Prepare both monthly and daily production plans to streamline manufacturing activities.
  • Actively monitor daily production results to ensure alignment with the established schedules and goals.
  • Utilize production planning tools to manage scheduling, capacity planning, and material requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze production performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Work closely with manufacturing team and sales teams to ensure collective alignment with production objectives.
  • Manage inventory levels to balance supply and demand, prevent stockouts, and minimize excess inventory.
  • Utilize production planning software and tools to facilitate scheduling, capacity planning, and material requirements planning.
  • Communicate production plans, progress, and issues to relevant stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
  • Regularly review and update schedules to adapt to changes in demand or unforeseen circumstances.
  • Estimate and secure the necessary materials, equipment, and labour required to fulfil production plans.
  • Proactively identify and troubleshoot production bottlenecks and delays.
  • Develop and implement solutions to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and meet deadlines.
  • Prepare and submit status reports on production progress, BOM and performance metrics.
  • Assist in regular stock-taking and in-process materials.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, trends, and production metrics.
  • IT savvy with the ability to adapt to new technologies and software tools to enhance production planning and control processes.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 added as value
  • 1-3 years of experience in production planning control within the manufacturing sector (semiconductor, etc)
