The Senior Engineer – CAPEX & Project is responsible to oversee the implementation of plant capital expenditure projects in accordance with established operating procedures, budgets and schedules.
Specific accountabilities and job functions will be but are not limited to:

To ensure that all safety measures are being adhered to all the time including your contractors in order to achieve zero LTI by following SOPs, Procedures, and Safety practices. To be transparent and show care for the safety of others by reporting Near Misses in the workplace. To conduct feasibility studies on new project initiatives or engage consultants to conduct feasibility studies on critical projects in order to ensure high success rate of project initiatives. To act as Project Manager for selected projects and ensure the timely completion and delivery of promised benefits. To liaise with the relevant statutory organizations for any necessary permits and approvals for the implementation of projects. To support the nominated project managers in implementing their respective capital expenditure projects. To prepare in alignment with Group and APAC Investment Manager requirements, the Capex budget for the year and its monthly divisions, and industrial plan Capex for the following 2 years. To liaise with relevant person in charge and compile the full Capex projects for APM Group (including Admin, IT, APAU Capex). To prepare all documentation requested for budgeting purpose (one pager, business case, DCF etc.) To prepare Capex forecast for the rest of the year on monthly basis and comment the monthly CAPEX reporting. To create and maintain the Capex projects in SAP Genius system. To ensure the control of capital appropriations and bookings at the plants are in accordance with the approved budget. To validate the economics and technical justifications of the capital investment / divestment application of the plants. To assist in selection of external resources, professional services and negotiations of appropriate contracts so that projects are implemented successfully, on time and within budgets. To ensure project-closure audits are conducted for evaluation of project performances. To repair & perform maintenance on all roads, concrete / steel building structures. Manage the drawing office & the draughtsman. Maintain and update all technical drawings or manuals in the T-drive access. To perform any other duties as and when instructed by immediate superiors. Implement and adhere to all Internal Control Rules and the Code of Business Conduct.
