The APAC Product Specialist, MBS is responsible to drive Product portfolio & pricing processes and ensure smooth operations, define synergies opportunities and continues drive business intelligence improvements across APAC.
This role also would require to work closely with functional team especially finance, commercial, PAD, GPU & site in the APAC regional.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1) Prepare monthly pricing list for APAC MBS. Pricing management requirement. Timely preparation / Data Accuracy.
2) Pricing quote support to Account Manager. Ensure the right/appropriate data used and available for Business Manager (BM) review to make the right judgement call on margin. Data Accuracy, Quote only involve, Standard RM shall Respond within 2 working days.
3) Implement the monthly pricing check. Segregation of duty requirement to make sure the actual price on selling price aligned with approved pricing. Timely perform monthly price check & make proper record.
4) Performance regular data gap analysis. Investigate the root cause of the gap between actual margin vs costing model to close the gap and make more accuracy & efficient pricing model & improve margin management. Conducting monthly Sales result vs price model expectation check. Propose CM1 improvement to BM for review.
5) Drive Cost optimization improvement. Work with logistic & manufacturing site for logistic & manufacturing cost improvement. Conduct review with respective team to identify the cost improvement opportunities.
6) Review product portfolio bi-yearly basis. Ensure the product portfolio list is being reviewed & maintain in timely manner. So commercial could always have the most updated product listing for sales. Every half yearly together with PAD to review the inactive & obsolete grades in SAP & maintain portfolio listing.
7) Other business support eg: price increase preparation, quarterly business review preparation, etc. Ensure proper data only presented to stakeholders. Timely preparation / Data Accuracy.
PERSON SPECIFICATION: (Typical knowledge, qualifications and experience required for the job.).
Education:
- University degree or equivalent in business subject.
Work Experience:
- 3 years in pricing / sales support related experience.
