Primary Objective:
  • Drive strategic product development and innovation: Identify new market opportunities, particularly in the realm of open finance and banking, to position the bank as a market leader.
  • Enhance business growth and profitability: Develop and execute payment and TB strategies to increase market share and revenue through the optimization of TB product offerings and customer acquisition.
  • Strengthen market position: Establish RHB as a thought leader in the industry through strategic partnerships, thought leadership initiatives, and effective communication.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships: Develop deep customer insights to create tailored solutions and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing payments product team: Lead and mentor a team of product managers and analysts to deliver exceptional results.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance: Stay abreast of regulatory changes and ensure products and services adhere to all relevant standards and guidelines


    Key Responsibilities:
    • Product strategy development: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for the payments business, aligned with the bank's overall strategic objectives.
    • Market analysis and opportunity identification: Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes within the payments industry.
    • Product roadmap development: Create and manage product roadmaps for payments products, prioritizing features and functionalities based on business value and customer needs.
    • Product lifecycle management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from concept development to launch, and post-launch performance analysis.
    • Team leadership and development: Build and lead a high-performing product team, providing mentorship, coaching, and career development opportunities.
    • Financial performance: Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue, profitability, and market share for the payments business.
    • Customer centricity: Build strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and translate them into product requirements.
    • Regulatory compliance: Ensure all payments products and services adhere to relevant regulations and industry standards.
    • Stakeholder management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive product success.
    • Strategic partnerships: Identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships to enhance product offerings and market reach (i.e. Open Banking, Merchant solutions, PayTech, Retail Tech etc.)
    • Thought leadership: Position RHB as a thought leader in the payments industry through industry publications, speaking engagements, and thought leadership initiatives.

    Regulatory engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators such as PayNet and BNM to understand evolving regulatory landscape and ensure compliance.
