INTERIOR DESIGNER

Our next stage of aggressive expansion includes entry into new markets regionally with over 1,000 projected stores. We are looking for a highly capable, experienced, driven and motivated individuals to join our Design & Fit-Out team. This means working with an international brand in a dynamic environment with potential for rapid career advancement as we continue to expand our brands across South East Asia.

Job Description:

• CAD Work and 3D modelling to typically create detailed drawings, floor plans, elevations, and other technical documents using computer-aided design (CAD) software, 3ds Max, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
• Material Selection: Responsible for researching and selecting suitable materials, finishes, furnishings, and fixtures for projects.
• Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers to gather information and obtain samples.
• Space Planning: Analyzing functional requirements, determining furniture layouts, and optimizing the efficient use of space. Create furniture plans and assist in coordinating with contractors and architects.
• Design Presentations: To support and be involved in preparing and delivering design presentations to clients or internal teams.
• Create and support in visualising design concepts through renderings, mood boards, and 3D models, explaining the design rationale and addressing feedback.
• Site Visits and Coordination: Visit project sites to assess progress, take measurements, and ensure design implementation aligns with specifications.
• Collaborate with contractors, architects, and other professionals to coordinate project activities.
• Support and collaborate with Project team in various aspects of the design process and in executing design concepts.
• To liaise with mall/landlord's design and project team in matters pertaining to fit-out guide & requirements, site progress, inspections, and matters pertaining to site handover, site fit-out progress, and store openings.
• To liaise and support with internal Boost design & project team members in ensuring smooth delivery of the project.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Architecture/ Interior Design or equivalent.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, 3DsMax, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator or other design programs.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in interior design of retail and or F&B outlets.
• Familiar with design & construction drawings, methodologies and best practices.
• Possess problem solving and analytical skills to address challenges such as construction. delays and project costs, or sudden unavailability of materials, while still ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budgets.
• Creative & imaginative in space planning design.
• Possess a strong sense of proportion & visual awareness.
• Self-disciplined & strong work ethics.
• Good interpersonal skills and able to communicate effectively with mall management & Project team within the Company.
• Able to read, write & converse in English & Bahasa Melayu. (Bahasa Indonesia & Thai skills is an added advantage).
• Able to use excellent time management skills and complete assigned tasks to meet tight deadlines.
