The IMAS Phase Leaders (PLs)

The PL provides leadership to ensure that student development programs and processes are carried out effectively for the level. He/she works closely with level teachers to build relationships with and understand the needs of individual students and, where appropriate, customize the implementation of the school’s student development programs (including the pastoral care curriculum) for the level. He/she is an advocate of students’ needs to ensure that school programs cater to the needs of different profiles of students. The PL helps students to build bonds with the community of teachers and students in the level. Through better understanding of their students’ needs, the teachers will also be able to provide close and timely support, and tailor lessons that increase student engagement. The PL will work in partnership with the Head of Schools to create a culture of high achievement with continuous improvement in standards.

Criteria:

- Qualified teacher with not less than 3 years experiences
- Active involvement in development of school policies as a member of a school leadership team
- Knowledge and understanding of google products for learning/ leadership and management
- Experience in mentoring and supporting teachers
- Experience in monitoring and evaluating learning and teaching with positive outcomes for teachers and learners
- Strong interpersonal skills: ability to lead, motivate, challenge and inspire colleagues and give feedback in a supportive manner
- Able to establish positive relations with parents and other stakeholders
- High level of commitment to the job
- Good organizational skills
- Able to work independently and proactively
-Strong command in English Communication
- Experience in IGCSE Syllabus and International School environment is an added advantage
-Able to speak in Arab Natively is an added advantage

The International Modern Arabic School was initiated in 2007 as a bilingual, Arabic-British, non-profit institution with a total of 220 students. By the year 2012, the number of students had increased to more than 700 and the school acquired Arabic and International recognition. IMAS now occupies a unique position among Arabic and International schools in the Malaysian Capital, Kuala Lumpur.
