POSITION : STORE SUPERVISOR
LOCATION : KOTA DAMANSARA, PETALING JAYA
SALARY MIN RM2,200.00 MAX RM 2,800.00 (BASED ON EXPERIENCE)
EMPLOYMENT TYPE : FULL TIME
WORK HOURS : SHIFT BASED

WORKING DAYS : 6 DAYS/WEEK (1 OFF DAY)

As a Store Supervisor with us, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring a smooth and efficient running of the stores activities, including cashiers, inventory, and general store staff. Candidates are required prior experience in a retail café or specialty store environment, and will be responsible for managing staff, creating work rosters, and handling stock levels. This role reports to the Store Manager.

Key Responsibilities:


1. Staff Management:

- Supervise and manage store personnel (cashiers & retail assistants) during shifts.
- Prepare weekly staff rosters, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts.
- Train new staff members and provide ongoing support and guidance to the team.
- Monitor staff performance and address any issues or concerns promptly.
- Ensure employees adhere to store policies as well as health and safety regulations.

2. Inventory Management

- Monitor and manage stock levels for all store items, including perishables such as meats, baked goods, and coffee supplies.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and ensure accurate records are maintained.
- Coordinate with suppliers to place orders for replenishment of stock as needed.
- Ensure inventory is organized and stored properly, especially within the meat and vegetable production areas.

3. Customer Service:

- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining a well-functioning store environment.
- Address and resolve customer complaints and queries in a professional manner.
- Monitor the overall store appearance and cleanliness, ensuring that proper hygiene practices are adhered to at all times

4. Financial Responsibilities:

- Manage and reconcile cash registers at the end of each shift.
- Assist with daily banking and ensure all transactions are accurate.
- Support store audits and maintain compliance with financial procedures.

5. Shift Supervision:
- Oversee the store operations during assigned shifts, ensuring tasks are completed effectively.
- Lead by example and perform tasks as needed to support the team, including cashier duties, stock replenishment, and customer interaction

- Open and close the store as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

- A minimum of 2 years' experience working in a convenience, retail or specialty store. Previous experience in leadership roles (supervisor, team/shift lead, etc) is an added advantage.

- Knowledge of inventory management and control procedures is preferred but not essential

- Proficient in using POS systems and basic computer skills; an ability to use Office tools (Word, Excel etc) is an added advantage.

- Strong leadership and organizational skills that's comfortable to foster teamwork and a positive working environment

- A strong communicator with proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English (written and spoken)

- Comfortable working in a fast paced, customer-oriented environment, with a strong ability to learn and adapt quickly

- Flexible with work schedules and willing to work shift-based hours, including weekends and public holidays

- Comfortable with a reasonable amount of physical labor (lifting and/or moving product, standing for extended periods, assist in the loading/unloading of stock)

Basic Salary RM 2,200.00 to RM 2,800.00 (based on experience)
