We are looking for a Hong Kong-trained Head Chef to join our team at our New Hotel Development 1969 Group of Hotel in Malaysia, Perak, Ipoh, a leading Hotel company specializing in curated gourmet experiences in Ipoh, Malaysia. Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation.
- Develop and execute a creative and authentic Hong Kong-inspired menu.
- Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff, maintaining a cohesive team.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Manage kitchen inventory, including sourcing high-quality ingredients.
- Collaborate with management on menu updates, seasonal offerings, and promotions.
- Formal culinary training from a reputable institution in Hong Kong or extensive work experience in top-tier Hong Kong restaurants.
- Proven leadership experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel.
- Expertise in Cantonese cuisine and/or other Hong Kong specialties.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen management, food costing, and menu engineering.
- Creative and passionate about food trends, particularly in Hong Kong cuisine.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm and efficient kitchen environment.
