Job Description:

  • The Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) is responsible for the development, maintenance and review of the Hospital’s Quality Management System (QMS) in line with the requirements of the International Standards Organisation (ISO) and those of the Malaysian Hospitals Accreditation Standards. These QMS requirements shall also take cognisance of the regulatory requirements as required by law and of any other accreditation / certification bodies as so determined by the Hospital.
  • The QAM is also responsible for maintaining the structural elements of the QMS such as the Internal Quality Audit Program, Quality Improvement programs (Medical Audits), Management Review, Risk Management and Mock Hospital accreditation Surveys.
  • The QAM is also responsible in ensuring that the systems and processes of the Hospital will be in compliance to the certifying and accreditation bodies and coordinate the preparation for such audits / surveys
  • The QAM is responsible for the tracking and trending of the vital statistics / indicators of the Quality Management and Risk Management Systems and the analysis and reporting of these indicators for the promotion of continual quality improvement
  • The QAM is responsible for the training involved in the implementation of the QMS
  • The QAM in the management of the Quality Department undertakes to manage the central records / documents of the QMS in compliance with the accreditation and certifying bodies.
