Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management:
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing products.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Ensure proper labelling, categorization, and organization of items in the store.
2. Receiving and Dispatch:
- Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damages, and verify against delivery documents.
3. Stock Control:
- Implement and maintain effective stock control procedures to minimize losses and optimize stock levels.
4. Documentation:
- Generate and maintain comprehensive documentation related to inventory movements.
- Prepare reports on stock levels, consumption, and any discrepancies for management review.
5. Storage Organization:
- Efficiently organize and arrange products within the storage area for easy accessibility.
- Implement and adhere to proper storage techniques, ensuring the safety of goods.
6. Minimum Stock Level Control
- Regularly review and alert when stock levels reach or fall below the minimum threshold.
7. Health and Safety:
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines in the storage area.
- Ensure the proper handling and storage of hazardous materials, if applicable.
Requirements:
1. Diploma or equivalent; additional education in inventory management is a plus.
2. 2-3 years of experience in storekeeping warehouse.
3. Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
4. Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
5. Proficient in using inventory management software.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Physical fitness for lifting and moving heavy items.
8. Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
