A Quality Control Technician (CMM) is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of manufactured products by using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and other precision measuring tools. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering drawings, product specifications, and the use of CMM software to inspect and verify parts and components to meet quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program, operate, and maintain CMM machines to measure dimensions of manufactured parts and ensure compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct inspections using CMM and other precision tools like calipers, micrometers, profile projector and gauges to verify product dimensions and tolerances.
- Interpret and apply information from blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate inspection processes.
- Record and document inspection results, including reports on measurements, deviations, and other quality control data.
- Perform routine calibration of CMM and other measurement equipment to ensure consistent and accurate results.
- Identify discrepancies or quality issues and work with production teams to resolve any non-conformances.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance quality control processes and production efficiency.
- Ensure all inspection processes comply with company standards, customer requirements, and relevant industry regulations.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree or certification in a related field (such as quality control, engineering, or manufacturing) is preferred.
- Prior experience in quality control, inspection, or a manufacturing environment.
- Experience operating CMM machines (e.g., Zeiss, Mitutoyo, Hexagon) is essential.
- Proficiency in CMM programming and operation.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and industry standards (ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of precision and accuracy in measurements.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaboration with production teams.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
