Location: Sunway Geo Tower, Jalan Lagoon Selatan, Sunway South Quay, Bandar Sunway, 47500 Subang Jaya Selangor Darul Ehsan
Working days & hours: Monday - Friday (9am to 6pm)
Contract duration: 12 months contract under PERSOLKELLY (_potential for convert to permanent subject to performance)_

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as an independent contributor for a component of Controllership function inclusive of, Reconciliations, Month End Close, Statutory & Financial Reporting, Management reporting, data integrity and quality
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and work with stakeholders to identify aged items and methods of clearing
  • Assist in preparing and submitting trial balance, quarterly financials for KLSE reporting, and reporting requirements under IBPM process.
  • Identify material financial movements on monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual basis with commentaries
  • Monitor monthly rental tracker, asset impairment and disposal, raise intercompany invoices, post journals to record prepayments and accruals
  • Partnering with Head of Tax on computations, submissions and payments for withholding, sales and service, and corporate taxes
  • Ensure all workflow is simplified and automated as much as possible while meeting governance and compliance requirements
  • In charge of housekeeping for SAP, eFlow, Icertis, cost centres, vendors’ inactivity and ensuring compliance with SOX controls and control navigator
  • Involved in continuous project improvement projects to improve productivity, increase accuracy, and innovate processes
  • Prepare and submit quarterly statistical surveys to National Bank and Department of Statistics
  • Act as the main point of contact for queries related to chart of accounts, cost centers, vendor details, payment methods, BS reconciliations

REQUIREMENTs

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment
  • Understand the impact of the accounting process and practice (IFRS and group reporting guidelines)
  • A detailed understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems, specifically BI/BPC, SAP or ERP equivalent
  • Good knowledge of Management Accounting techniques in relation to Profit and Loss Statement and Balance Sheet
  • Proficiency in English, both orally and in writing
  • Meticulous, analytical, proactive, and can work under pressure with minimum supervision
  • Knowledgeable in identifying risks and in implementing controls
  • Minimum qualification – a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification from a recognized professional body
