About Our Client

Our client, a global trading and distribution company, specialising in steel pipes and pipe-related applications is currently looking for a new senior sales engineer. Manufacturing tailored made pipes based on their customer needs, they ensure that they are readily available worldwide and provide the best quality possible.

Job Description

You will be reporting to the sales manager and your responsibilities include:

  • Meet and exceed assigned quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, negotiating favourable terms and conditions for material supply.
  • Strengthen relationships with assigned global and local clients/accounts.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with new or inactive global and local clients/accounts.
  • Be customer-focused and open to learning and adapting.
  • Ensure timely submission of quotations and Material Take Offs (MTOs).
  • Actively follow up on quotations until Purchase Orders are received.
  • Collaborate with the execution team (Sales Support & Logistics) to ensure smooth order processing.
  • Support finance and operations teams in securing timely payments and handling after-sales activities if needed.
  • Willingness to travel for networking and industry events.
  • Having a strong network and knowledge within the Oil & Gas industry is a plus.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in any engineering related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant technical sales experience.
  • Knowledge in Steel Pipes, Tubes, Fittings & Flanges.
  • Strong persuasive skills.
  • Conceptual and creative thinking.
  • Excellent communication skills (both internal and external).
