The role of a Learning and Development (L&D) Executive involves managing and coordinating programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of employees within an organization. The focus is on training, professional development, and continuous learning initiatives. Here's a breakdown of the typical job scope:
1. Training Program Development
- Design, develop, and implement learning and development programs aligned with the organization’s goals and needs.
- Identify training needs through job analysis, employee feedback, and performance reviews.
- Create training materials, manuals, and digital content.
2. Employee Skill Development
- Conduct skills gap analysis and assess the current competency levels of employees.
- Recommend and design courses, workshops, and on-the-job training sessions to develop the required skills.
- Ensure training programs cater to different learning styles and are accessible to all employees.
3. Learning Delivery and Coordination
- Organize and schedule training sessions, both in-house and with external trainers.
- Facilitate training workshops, seminars, and e-learning sessions.
- Ensure the smooth execution of training programs, including venue booking, communication, and materials preparation.
4. Performance and Learning Evaluation
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance improvement.
- Use metrics like post-training surveys, ROI, and employee performance data to measure training outcomes.
- Implement improvements based on feedback to continually enhance learning initiatives.
5. Talent and Leadership Development
- Develop programs for talent identification, leadership development, and succession planning.
- Create mentoring and coaching programs to develop future leaders within the organization.
- Collaborate with department heads to address team-specific development needs.
6. Compliance and Regulatory Training
- Ensure employees receive training required for compliance with industry standards, legal requirements, and internal policies.
- Keep up to date with changes in regulations that may affect training content (e.g., safety, health, data protection).
7. Learning Management System (LMS) Administration
- Manage and update the organization’s LMS, ensuring it is current with the latest learning materials and resources.
- Track employee progress in training programs using the LMS and generate reports as needed.
8. Budget Management
- Manage the budget allocated for learning and development initiatives.
- Source cost-effective external training providers and materials without compromising quality.
9. Collaboration with Stakeholders
- Work closely with HR, department managers, and leadership to align training programs with organizational goals.
- Liaise with external consultants, trainers, and institutions to deliver specialized learning programs.
10. Continuous Learning Culture
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development across the organization.
- Encourage employees to take ownership of their own development through self-learning and skill advancement opportunities.
Key Skills Required:
- Strong understanding of learning theories and instructional design.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to assess training needs and create tailored programs.
- Proficiency with LMS and e-learning platforms.
- Analytical skills for evaluating training effectiveness and measuring ROI.
- Time management and organizational skills to handle multiple programs simultaneously.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field is often preferred.
- Certifications in L&D or training (e.g., CIPD, ATD) can be an advantage.
- Experience in designing and delivering training programs is typically required.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
