The Group Technical Sales & Product Lead is responsible for driving growth of Company’s non-bearing products in Malaysia, focusing on products such as power transmission, lubrication, heating devices, industrial 4.0 automation solutions, and other digital complementary products. This role entails developing and executing strategic business plans, conducting market research, collaborating with internal teams, and supporting sales and technical staff to achieve growth objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge in the bearings or mechanical engineering industry, along with proven experience in sales, product management and strategic planning.

Job Description:

Growth Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive growth & create awareness of Company’s non-bearing product portfolio in Malaysia, with focus on products such as power transmission, lubrication, heating devices, industrial 4.0 automation solutions, and other digital complementary products.

Market Analysis and Business Planning:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify opportunities, assess competition, and analyze industry trends.
  • Formulate business plans and strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders to lead, support and guide sales and technical teams to close sales.

Customer Engagement and Support:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key customers, providing sales, technical consultancy and support.
  • Deliver sales or technical presentations based on competitive benchmarks and customer needs.

Team Collaboration and Development:

  • Collaborate with Marketing and Purchasing departments to support marketing initiatives and optimize stock planning and pricing strategies.
  • Organize and conduct technical training programs for Sales and Engineering teams to enhance product and sales competencies, supporting sales and engineering teams with technical and new product development information.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of relevant sales experience with proven track record in product management, with substantial exposure and technical expertise in power transmission or non-bearings related products.
  • Specialized knowledge in product development and field applications in the mechanical engineering industry is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with strong analytical skills to interpret market data and develop actionable strategies.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented approach, emphasizing achievement of targets.
