Responsibilities:
- Create bakery goods recipe to achieve consistent products.
- Manage the production of baked goods
- Participate preparation and production of foods for in-house functions and meetings when required.
- Monitor stocks and coordinate deliveries for baking ingredients
- Perform routine checks on the quality of raw materials and cooked food products to ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety and quality standards are met.
- Responsible for maintaining safety and sanitation of kitchen, utensils, cutleries and equipment
- Be involved in Quality Improvement activities at department level
Requirements
- Minimum qualification of SPM or any other equivalent qualification. Preferably possess a certificate in culinary arts, pastry and baking arts related courses.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in bakery retail or hospital setting.
- Knowledge and familiarity in pastry and baking arts.
- Ability to read and communicate verbally in Bahasa Malaysia and English
- Good personal hygiene
- Good team player
- Must obey to health codes pertaining to safety and sanitation of the work area and cooking
