Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Steam Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining steam systems, boilers, and associated equipment to ensure the efficient and safe production of steam required for our manufacturing processes. The Steam Engineer may be considered for either Grade 1 or Grade 2 based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Boiler Operation:
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain boiler systems to ensure the consistent production of steam according to operational requirements.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on boilers to identify and address potential issues.
  • Safety Compliance:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and contribute to the development of safety procedures.
  • Troubleshooting:
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to address and resolve technical issues.
  • Record Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate records of steam production, equipment performance, and maintenance activities.
  • Generate reports as required for management review.
  • Efficiency Optimization:
  • Implement measures to optimize steam production efficiency and reduce energy consumption.
  • Propose and implement improvements to enhance overall system performance.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Steam Engineer in an industrial setting.
  • Possession of a valid Steam Engineer license (Grade 1 or Grade 2) issued by the relevant authorities in Malaysia.
  • In-depth knowledge of boiler operations, steam systems, and associated equipment.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Relevant technical certifications or vocational training in steam engineering.
