Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Utility Engineer to assist the organization to ensure utility and boiler of operation and maintenance system and to assist implementation of all procedures and controls related to the utility and boiler maintenance system.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Utility Operation and Maintenance

Participate in management decisions on the Company’s policies and practices pertaining to the Company’s machines maintenance.
Investigate and take corrective action on overcoming mechanical problems.
Work with the engineering team in support of equipment maintenance.
Execute machine improvement programs.
Plan, direct and coordinate the work of maintenance supervisor / technician in the maintenance or repair of equipment in the plant.
Recommend mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance and equipment replacement to optimize the utilization of equipment.
Maintain and update equipment database and utilize historic data to develop improvement plans.
Prepare weekly report on timely basis.
Perform manpower planning and job allocation for subordinates.
Troubleshoot on the utility system for any problems.
Configure the system to meet the production requirement and make recommendation to production on utilizing the utility equipment. To implement the design of the utility system.
Contact and arrange the vendors for each utility system if problems can’t be solved and maintenance in-house.
Provide the solutions for utility system problems to improve efficiency of the system.

Steam Engineer

Monitor boiler system and ensure the smooth running and ensure operating in safety condition.
Ensure the performance monitoring data sheet completely fulfill for daily, weekly and monthly time basis.
Liaise with subordinate on specifications, complaints, quality problems etc in addressing corrective or preventive action for continuous improvement.
Responsible on operation and maintenance for PM programme and CF renewal in line with DOSH requirements and regulations.
Monitor and motivate staff performance and develop or upgrade their skills / knowledge.
Investigate and take corrective action on mechanical problems for boiler system.
Execute boiler improvement programs.
Prepare monthly report on timely basis to present the condition of boiler.
Contact and arrange the vendors for each machine failure if problems can’t be solved.

Waste Water Treatment Plant

Oversee daily operations of the Waste Water Treatment Plant, including monitoring and optimizing treatment processes.
Supervise and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to wastewater treatment equipment and processes.
Analyze plant performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement optimization strategies.
Lead and manage WWTP-related projects, including upgrades, expansions, and new installations.
Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines, and monitor progress against goals.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
6 to 8 years covering full spectrum of Factory Utility maintenance.
Must be a Competent Person with Steam Engineer Grade 2.
Demonstrated experience in environmental engineering, particularly in the design, operation, and management of wastewater treatment systems.
Proven track record in managing and implementing energy-saving projects and strategies within industrial settings.
Experience with SAP system is an added advantage.
High integrity with good analytical and problem solving skills.
