  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Job Purpose

You will be responsible to manage procurement and purchasing operations and implements the strategy to provide the materials and services to meet organizational requirements for quality, volume, availability, and pricing.


Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing purchasing strategies.
  • Establish and maintain strong and positive relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate pricing, supplier contracts and service level agreements with manufacturers, vendors, suppliers and agents to ensure the highest quality products for lowest possible cost or best competitive price.
  • Receive and evaluate quotations, interview vendors and select/recommend suppliers while considering price, delivery requirements, and past performance of vendor/supplier.
  • Process purchase orders, requisitions, and other purchasing documents for the purchase of materials.
  • Resolves problems with assigned production parts/materials, equipment, or supplier orders.
  • Leads and manages the Procurement team. This includes establishing objectives, measuring and monitoring performance, and providing timely feedback regarding performance.
  • Keeps up with trends in procurement and stays current with purchasing technology trends and oversees purchase and implementation, as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as directed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with Purchasing concentration, or relevant education and/or experience.
  • Min 6++ years purchasing experience as a Purchasing Manager.
  • At least 2++ years of supervisory/management experience.
  • Experience using Oracle procurement software and databases.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated accomplishments in handling diverse and complex sourcing transactions, negotiations and contractual responsibilities.
  • Understand legal terms and conditions.
  • Working knowledge of procurement techniques, procedures and policies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of MS Office.
  • Must be willing to be based ta Bayan Lepas, Penang.
