Job Description

The Role: Senior Multimedia Designer

As a Senior Multimedia Designer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing Traveloka’s brand through innovative and compelling multimedia content. In this role, you will harness your expertise in animation and video creation to craft engaging motion graphics, videos and even static graphic design visuals that simplify complex interactions and address challenging design problems. Collaborating closely with copywriters, illustrators, and graphic designers, you will deliver high-quality designs that communicate effective and persuasive messages across various media and channels. Your focus will split between motion graphics, videos and visual communication design, ensuring a seamless blend of multimedia and graphic design expertise.

Main Areas

Motion Graphics & Multimedia (50%):

  • Prepare design plans, concepts, and layouts for motion graphic and video projects.

  • Research and analyze best design techniques to deliver motion graphics and videos across web, mobile, and other media.

  • Design and create engaging motion graphics, storyboards and video deliverables.

  • Oversee the end-to-end creation of multimedia projects, including video production, to enhance Traveloka’s communication channels.

Visual Communication Design (50%):

  • Explore and create bold, unique, problem-solving creative designs across various marketing channels.

  • Develop and design promotional materials in different formats for both online and offline collaterals, on various channels and platforms.

  • Create visually appealing graphics that align with brand guidelines and resonate with target audiences.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of design experience, preferably in marketing & communication campaign, and production experience which includes photo shoot & video production as well

  • Working experience in in-house creative team and advertising agency for Malaysian market

  • Design portfolio that embodies a modern, clean and outstanding style of creative, ranging around design and creative ideation for campaigns in 360 channels (In-app, OOH, Digital display/ads, organic digital content, long and short format TVC or Digital video, etc.)

  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign and/or Adobe Creative Suite, with familiarity in Mac OS environment

  • Impeccable skills in visual communication and understanding user behavior, preferably with skills of icon design and/or illustration

  • Ability to quickly adapt to company’s style & visual guideline

  • Familiarity with AI-based and Automation-based creative tools, eg. MidJourney, Runway, Cape, Smartly, etc.

  • Advance knowledge and capability in In-app design (Newsletter, Landing Page, Push Notification) and basic knowledge in Digital Ads (Display, Paid Performance Marketing)

  • Up to date on market trends and industry insights in Malaysian market

  • Able to multitask with eye for details, resourceful and independent under constraints of time

  • Have a strong empathy in understanding online consumer behavior

  • Critical thinking and ability to persuasively influence through storytelling

  • A critical eye with attention to detail, especially visual details

  • Have the ability to convey ideas and concepts to support creative pitches

  • Self-driven in managing and accomplishing projects under tight deadlines and able to work with minimum supervision
