Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Retail Assistant to join our team at ONLY PETS. As a Retail Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a well-organized store environment, and promoting the well-being of our furry and feathered friends. If you are passionate about pets, enjoy interacting with customers, and thrive in a dynamic retail setting, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Consultation:Engage with customers to understand their specific needs and preferences regarding pet care.
Provide personalized advice on pet nutrition, grooming, health, and overall well-being.

Product Knowledge:Stay informed about the latest pet care products, including food, supplements, toys, and accessories.
Educate customers on the features and benefits of different products.

Pet Health and Wellness:Offer guidance on preventive care measures, vaccinations, and regular veterinary check-ups.
Provide information on common health issues and recommended treatments.

Behavioral Advice:Advise pet owners on behavior training, socialization, and methods to address common behavioral challenges.
Recommend appropriate training tools and resources.

Grooming Recommendations:Recommend grooming services and products based on the specific needs of different pet breeds.
Provide tips on at-home grooming practices.

Dietary Planning:Assess individual pet dietary requirements and recommend suitable pet food options.
Provide guidance on feeding schedules and portion control.

Product Demonstrations:Conduct product demonstrations and answer customer questions about how to use various pet care items.
Showcase the benefits of specific products through hands-on demonstrations.

Health and Safety Standards:Promote awareness of health and safety standards for pets, including proper housing, exercise, and hygiene.
Advise on the importance of pet identification and microchipping.

Customer Education:Conduct workshops or seminars on pet care topics to educate pet owners in the community.
Create informational materials or blog posts to share valuable pet care tips.

Problem Resolution:Address customer concerns or issues related to pet care products and services.
Collaborate with the customer service team to ensure timely resolution of complaints.

Inventory Management:Monitor inventory levels of pet care products and communicate with the purchasing department to restock as needed.
Ensure that products are properly labeled and priced.

Promotions and Sales Support:Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns.
Support sales efforts by providing expert advice during customer interactions.

Collaboration with Veterinarians:Build relationships with local veterinarians and collaborate on pet health initiatives.
Refer customers to veterinary professionals when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in pet industry is preferred.
  • Must possess a Degree in the related courses such as Animal Science, Zoology, Veterinary, etc
  • Possesses own transport and able to travel around Klang Valley.
  • Passion for and knowledge of pets and pet care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays, as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,200.00 per month
