We are on the lookout for experienced engineers to work on the design and production of DUG Nomad, a modular, immersion-cooled data centre solution. Under the guidance of the Head of Nomad, they will lead projects to design and build modular data centres housed in ISO standard shipping containers utilising DUG’s patented immersion cooling technology.

List of Responsibilities (not necessarily exhaustive):

  • Develop comprehensive designs for modular data centre solutions, including immersion cooling, power, plumbing, fire, security, and general IT infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards, including building codes, fire codes, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Nomad and sales teams to ensure design meets client specifications and industry standards.
  • Provide technical support to the DUG Nomad sales team.
  • Optimise designs for efficiency, ease of maintenance, scalability, simplicity, and robustness.
  • Work with the Nomad team to establish the production supply chain, including searching for and meeting with potential vendors, evaluating their capabilities, and negotiating pricing and timelines.
  • Oversee the production process, ensuring quality control and adherence to design specifications.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to source components, and to ensure timely completion of production projects.
  • Work with suppliers and clients to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during production and deployment.

Required skills / Abilities:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or any related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in M&E consultancies specialising in data centre design or a related industry.
  • In-depth understanding of mechanical system and/or HVAC design.
