Safety Coordinator

Job Purpose

The Safety Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment at Furi Global. The role focuses on preventing accidents, promoting a culture of safety, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards. This position will oversee safety training, workplace inspections, and the development of safety plans tailored to the office environment.

Key Responsibility

• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and best practices for an office environment.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
• Develop strategies and initiatives to mitigate risks and prevent workplace accidents.
• Investigate any incidents, accidents, or near misses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• Organize and conduct safety training programs for all staff, including new employee orientation and periodic refresher courses.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and first aid protocols.
• Prepare and submit safety reports, including incident reports, risk assessments, and compliance documentation, to management.
• Monitor the condition of safety equipment, ensuring that all necessary tools, such as fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and first aid supplies, are maintained and in working order.
• Perform additional duties as required by management to ensure the ongoing safety of all employees and visitors at Furi Global’s office.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
