Job Responsibilities: • Coordinate air import and export shipments, including booking cargo space, arranging pickup and delivery, and managing transportation schedules to meet customer requirements and deadlines. • Prepare all necessary documentation for air freight shipments, including air waybills, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. • Liaise with customs authorities and agents to ensure smooth clearance of air shipments through customs. • Communicate and update customers proactively on shipment status. Addressing inquiries and concerns to ensure customer satisfaction. • Coordinate with airlines, ground handling agents, and other service providers to negotiate rates, arrange for cargo transportation, and resolve any operational issues or delays affecting air shipments. • Stay abreast of import and export regulations, trade agreements, and compliance requirements. • Identify and highlight potential risks and compliance issues, to mitigate these risks while ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards. • Negotiate with vendor/ supplier for a better rate. Monitor and control transportation costs, including air freight rates, fuel surcharges, and other expenses, to optimize profitability while maintaining competitiveness in the market. • Identify opportunities for process improvement, implement best practices and innovative solutions to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and enhance overall operational performance. • Any other duties assigned by the Management. Job Requirements: • Possess at least a Diploma in Supply Chain /Logistics / Business Administration or equivalent. • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in Logistics, Freight Forwarding or similar industry. • Good working knowledge in Microsoft Office. • Able to work independently and in a group, result-oriented, and highly motivated. • A fast learner, pro-active, self-driven, and self-motivated person. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Detailed, organized, and good time management. • This position needs to handle Mandarin speaking clients from China. • Able to commence work immediately is an added advantage.
