WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Serves as the main contact for all involved parties (IA, PT, LM, HRBP, vendors, GBS HR GM Services team, GBS HR Employee Services) throughout the international relocation process and raises any necessary concerns to the Global Mobility Services Managers. This involves coordination and support and having a detailed knowledge of the applicable global mobility framework and policies, tax and a deep understanding of the assignment package, as well as the simultaneous and interconnected processes of immigration, shipment of goods, temporary and permanent accommodation.
  • Shows familiarity with Global Mobility policies, including Tax policy, assignment package elements, HR and GM systems, and global mobilities task level descriptions. This is intended to ensure Compliance with Global Mobility Framework/ Policy/ Task Level Descriptions/ Manuals/ Guidelines/ Legal Requirements.
  • Provides consultative advice and manages relationships with the HR teams within the DRBU’s to which they are assigned. This involves regular calls with HRBPs to discuss case statuses and regular calls with vendors to discuss issues and agree action plan.
  • Provide consultative advice and manage relationships with the assignee / permanent transfers, HR teams, vendors: Provides mentorship to all partners on global mobility processes and policies, addressing their questions and concerns related to process, assignment package, immigration, relocation, accommodation at local level (each Global Mobility Services Partner requires knowledge of all these areas on multiple countries).
  • Supports the HR Teams in the initiation process and provides regular status updates regarding the international move.
  • Instructs the GBS HR GM Services and Employee Services Team and clarifies any points required for the completion of the administrative process steps, including compensation and relocation package.
  • Conducts a full briefing call on requirements with the Assignees and Permanent Transfers at grade 38 and below to ensure they fully understand their compensation package and the end-to-end move process. Remains a single point of engagement during the move and throughout the assignment.
  • Coordinates the responsible vendors: Immigration, Tax, Shipping, House Search, Cultural Orientation, School search, Language lessons, Bank account etc. for ensuring the relocation process (end to end). Consolidates issues to enable vendor feedback to the COE.
  • Supports case execution by ensuring that documentation is produced in line with process guidelines and procedures.
  • Resolves sophisticated queries which involve a detailed explanation of Global Mobility policy, processes or procedures, and interpretation of the policy on outstanding scenarios. Move Managers are required to understand how policies may apply to new and individual circumstances and propose solutions when discussing these with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve Global Mobility processes.
  • They will be involved in GM projects with the expectation that they can be self-sufficient, work independently and think creatively (i.e., with support but not step by step mentorship from the Global Mobility Manager), e.g., process improvement projects, new system functionalities, training for HR teams in the end markets, etc.
  • Generate reports on team activities, costs, and compliance, as required to support decision-making.
  • Responsible for adhering the detailed processes and policies.


ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE


  • Minimum 5 years in a global mobility role, preferably within a multinational corporation
  • Proven experience of working in high pressure, fast-paced environment, working effectively across different time zones
  • Experienced in managing partners at different levels of the organization
  • A subject matter expert on immigration, tax, relocation and end to end GM process.
  • Able to manage own deliverables, ensure timely completion of activities and communicate progress regularly with partners for feedback and input.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail and accuracy with data management
  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent execution capabilities
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external partners
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty
  • Insightful, proactive and collaborative
  • Consultative approach

Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required

  • University Degree
  • Strong English language (written and oral)

Beneficial

  • Experience using Equus platform.
  • Experience in expatriate tax matters, including but not limited to tax equalization, concept of gross vs net pay, recognizing tax impact of scenarios.
  • Ability to work in a highly dynamic and matrixed organization, navigating complexity to deliver seamlessly.
