Qualifications & experience

Degree/ Diploma or equivalent in Quantity Surveying / Building or suitably recognized field that is applicable.
1-3 years working experience in related field.
Well verse with the use of Microsoft Excel, Words, Autocad, etc.
Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the IMain contractor industry.
Good knowledge of construction cost estimation, budgeting, and procurement processes.
Ability to work well in a team and independently, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Tasks & responsibilities

Prepare and submit any tender as and when required
Taking off, preparing tender document and calling tender if required
Oversee preparation of bills of quantities and other related tender documentation
Conducting accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment costs
Evaluating and negotiating subcontractor tender and contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality
Liaison with other department such as the project and purchasing on work related matters
Plan and manage project budget ensuring margins are protected and optimized
Organize and planning for the tender award process. E.g. Issuance approved tenderer list, issuance of approved Tender Award schedule, etc.
Prepare and issue Letter of Award for Sub-Contract works
Work with Procurement Executive for sourcing of materials, conduct cost comparison and price analysis, ordering and purchasing of materials
