Job Description :
- Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on BSS/RAN network elements, including NSN 2G & 3G elements, ensuring work is completed within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Manage faults by coordinating with various teams such as Core, Transmission, IPBB, DCN, and VAS to resolve issues efficiently.
- Oversee configuration management for BSS/RAN network elements and services, ensuring proper setup and operation.
- Conduct performance monitoring of BSS/RAN network equipment and its connections to maintain optimal performance.
- Perform network audits to assess the current state of the network and suggest improvement plans for better efficiency and performance.
- Provide support for network planning by delivering detailed network topology and information.
- Maintain coordination with the customer and internal Managed Services (MS) departments to ensure smooth operations and communication.
Requirement Technical Skills :
- Minimum 3 years of experience in wireless network operations within a telecommunications company, including experience in implementation, network planning, and cutover for wireless networks.
- Hands-on experience in BSS/RAN operations at a telecommunications company.
- Strong knowledge of GSM, GPRS, UMTS, and IP protocols.
- Responsible for providing second-level support for fault management, configuration, performance, and security management in the 2G, 3G, and LTE Radio Access Networks (RAN).
- Ability to evaluate the complexity of faults, configurations, and performance issues, and escalate effectively to the Technical Assistance Centre (TAC) or vendor engineer if needed.
- Collaborate in multi-expertise teams for fault handling, configuration, and performance management.
- Ensure tasks are completed in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
- Handle faults and customer complaints that cannot be resolved by first-line engineers.
- Prepare restoration plans for critical incidents and provide Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) after resolving issues.
- Provide monthly reports on queries, statistics, and trends, along with timely incident and ad-hoc reports.
- Offer on-the-job training to subordinates.
- Manage network service quality and drive initiatives to reduce customer complaints.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for common alarms and review Method of Procedures (MOPs) for configuration changes.
