Responsibilities
- Apply for licensing and approvals for the establishment of new factory setups.
- Lead and manage QA Manual team in Malaysia to ensure the quality & safety of products comply aligns with legal requirements and organizational objectives.
- Review and ensure closure of internal and external audit non-conformances (NC) relating to the Quality Management Systems.
- Exercise control over all internal product specifications, raw material specifications, and inspection test methods.
- Serve as a key interface for quality-related matters with other departments, external customers, and suppliers.
- Provide internal support, ensure target response, bridge the issue to R&D team and deliver satisfying solution.
- Conduct training sessions to ensure adherence to food safety requirements and compliance with quality guidelines throughout the organization.
- Provide support and troubleshooting expertise for production issues.
- Track defects and follow through on defect resolutions.
- Undertake any other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
- Good understanding of quality requirements and proficient knowledge of production processes.
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in managerial or supervisory roles in Quality Assurance/Quality Control.
- Good knowledge and hands on experience in managing external & Internal Quality Audit Programs and experience in effective customer & supplier management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and interpersonal communication skills
- Good understanding of regulatory standards such as SFA, FSSC 22000, HALAL, and import/export countries’ requirements.
- Preferred candidate with knowledge and previous working experience in the Food industry.
- Experience in a Halal-certified environment is desirable.
- Able to communicate effectively in Mandarin, English, and Malay (preferable)
