This role shall be responsible in managing Accounts Payable function for offices in Southeast Asia.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient operation of the accounts payable function by providing first-line support to internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform bookkeeping general ledger, AP, fixed assets and monthly depreciation, cash management, and bank reconciliation.
- Manage cash flow, including accounts payable and employee expense claims.
- Collaborate with other finance team members to process the group's invoices.
- Prepare and maintain records of purchases and payments.
- Prepare weekly telegraphic transfers online banking system and forecast operating expenses.
- Prepare monthly SG&A reports comparing actual against budget and highlight major variances.
- Prepare schedules according to companies’ financial reports including Income Statement and Balance Sheet according to the FRS/IFRS standards.
- Handle all regulatory submissions including GST and VAT returns.
- Prepare annual audit schedules and adjustment entries.
- Liaise with the external consultants i.e. auditor and tax agents including VAT and WHT reports.
- Assist in the improvement of finance processes and controls, including developing and implementing policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in digital transformation and continuous improvement initiatives of Finance Dept.
- Assist in any other finance-related matters as required.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Accounting / Finance or equivalent, with 3 years relevant experience in managing Accounts Payable and processing invoices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in SAP will be preferred.
- Team player, detail oriented and positive attitude.
- Meticulous and able to work independently to meet deadlines.
