Job Description
- Oversea the dining area, supervises food and beverage service staff in accordance with operating policies that he or she may help establish.
- Creates a positive team atmosphere among Team Members.
- Provides feedback and coaching to the team regularly.
- Sets high standard for appropriate team behaviour on shift.
- Handle guest complaints in the restaurant.
- Arrange for maintenance and repair of equipment and other services.
- Do the costing and ensure that the sales for the day is accounted for.
- Ensure new products are executed ted properly following roll-out deadlines
- Monitors product quality and service standards.
- Conduct daily briefing or periodic meetings with team members.
- Taking ownership of problems issues or tasks and also give detail update to the Director of Food and Beverage.
- Seeks, listens and responds to guest comments and feedback.
- Coaches team on how to exceed guest expectations.
- Takes accountability for problems.
- Proficiency in using computer software to monitor reservations, sales inventor, staff schedules and pay, and perform other record keeping tasks.
- Communicates and builds good relationship with customers.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of Assistant Restaurant Manager experience in hotel line/fine dining is preferable or equivalent experience.
- Proficient to speak, write and read in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Able to communicate in Mandarin will be an added advantage.
- Thorough knowledge of restaurant operations, beverages, wines and preparation techniques.
- Strong mathematical abilities in order to determine and track inventory, controls, revenue productions, and financial statements.
- Able to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.
- Leadership skill and problem solving abilities.
- Good in computer software (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Training skills. Responsible for training the associates.
