Job Description

  • Oversea the dining area, supervises food and beverage service staff in accordance with operating policies that he or she may help establish.
  • Creates a positive team atmosphere among Team Members.
  • Provides feedback and coaching to the team regularly.
  • Sets high standard for appropriate team behaviour on shift.
  • Handle guest complaints in the restaurant.
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair of equipment and other services.
  • Do the costing and ensure that the sales for the day is accounted for.
  • Ensure new products are executed ted properly following roll-out deadlines
  • Monitors product quality and service standards.
  • Conduct daily briefing or periodic meetings with team members.
  • Taking ownership of problems issues or tasks and also give detail update to the Director of Food and Beverage.
  • Seeks, listens and responds to guest comments and feedback.
  • Coaches team on how to exceed guest expectations.
  • Takes accountability for problems.
  • Proficiency in using computer software to monitor reservations, sales inventor, staff schedules and pay, and perform other record keeping tasks.
  • Communicates and builds good relationship with customers.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of Assistant Restaurant Manager experience in hotel line/fine dining is preferable or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient to speak, write and read in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Able to communicate in Mandarin will be an added advantage.
  • Thorough knowledge of restaurant operations, beverages, wines and preparation techniques.
  • Strong mathematical abilities in order to determine and track inventory, controls, revenue productions, and financial statements.
  • Able to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.
  • Leadership skill and problem solving abilities.
  • Good in computer software (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Training skills. Responsible for training the associates.
