As a Technical Writer (Intern) you will embark on a product development internship that offers a valuable chance to acquire and apply practical skills in a dynamic, fast-paced in the Fintech payment industry. You will acquirer expertise in creating clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation for software products and services.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and subject matter experts to develop user manuals, API documentation, release notes, and other technical content. You will be responsible for translating complex technical concepts into user-friendly materials, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all documentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of technical writing tools, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Learning Responsibilities:

Develop, write, and maintain detailed technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, product specifications, troubleshooting guides, API documentation, online help, release notes, and knowledge base articles, in line with organizational standards for the following:

  • User Manuals: Guides that help users understand how to operate a product or system.
  • Instructional Guides: Step-by-step instructions for completing specific tasks.
  • Technical Reports: Detailed documents that present research findings or technical data.
  • Software Documentation: Manuals and guides that explain how to use software applications.
  • Product Specifications: Detailed descriptions of a product’s features and functionalities.

  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly language for various audiences, including developers, end-users, and business stakeholders.
  • Create training materials and conduct training sessions for internal teams and customers as needed.
  • Establish and maintain documentation standards, style guides, and templates to ensure consistency across all technical documents.
  • Develop and manage a detailed database of reference materials, including research, usability tests, and design specifications.
  • Edit, proofread, and revise content created by other team members to ensure accuracy, grammar, and clarity.
  • Update documentation with each product release or feature update to reflect the latest changes.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and subject matter experts to gather technical information and ensure accuracy in documentation.
  • Participate in product development meetings to stay informed of new features and enhancements requiring documentation.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between product features and user documentation.
  • Organize and manage documentation repositories, ensuring that all documents are up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in technical writing and documentation tools.
Pre-Requisites :
  • Familiarity with payments-related products and services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of grammar, syntax, and technical terminology.
  • Ability to convey complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Experience with documentation tools such as MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, Microsoft Word, or similar.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and content management systems (CMS).
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and developers.
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
