Project Manager (IT Software)

Responsibilities:

• Project Planning: Responsible for defining project objectives, creating detailed project plans, and establishing timelines and budgets.
• Team Coordination: Assemble and lead project teams, ensuring that each member understands their roles and responsibilities. Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members.
• Resource Management: Allocate resources such as personnel and equipment efficiently to ensure project success and may also negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors.
• Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to address them is a crucial part of a PM's role. Continuously monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to minimize risks.
• Quality Control: Oversee project deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards and client expectations and implement quality assurance processes and conduct regular reviews.
• Stakeholder Management: Liaise with project stakeholders, including clients, executives, and team members, to provide updates, gather feedback, and manage expectations.
• Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, and meeting minutes. May also prepare presentations and reports for senior management.
• Problem Solving: Often required to troubleshoot issues that arise during the project lifecycle, finding creative solutions to keep the project on track.
• Change Management: Manage changes to project scope, schedule, or budget, ensuring that stakeholders are informed and that changes are implemented effectively.
• Closure and Evaluation: Oversee project closure activities, including final deliverables, client handover, and post-project evaluations. Gather feedback to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement in future projects.

Requirements:

• At least Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience, with at least 3 years in project management and solutioning.
• Good knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and PMBOK process.
• Familiar with the various system platforms such as MS .Net, web, application, and database servers etc.
• Good understanding of design concepts using UML, ER/EER, design patterns is an added advantage.
• We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Strong in driving project implementation and delivery.
• Willing to travel and work on overseas projects.
• Candidates have full working rights for Malaysia.
