Overview

Frost & Sullivan is seeking a Writer for the Best Practices Research team. As a Best Practices Writer, you can investigate the hottest trends in evolving industries such as healthcare, information technology, and security and explore companies impacting markets.

The principal responsibility is to conduct primary research, determine top companies' unique product and service offerings by gathering critical information through web-based research, and conduct in-depth phone interviews—talking to leading company executives! The investigational research will showcase the prospective nominee companies while balanced with information about the market and their competitors. Ideal candidates will tend to have an analytical mindset, research abilities, and display marketable writing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work strategically with the Best Practices team to bolster research efforts
  • Properly position and communicate valuable information about Frost & Sullivan and the Best Practices research process
  • Establish and conduct phone interviews with potential Best Practices Recognition candidates
  • Reference interview notes and utilize existing templates for composing write-ups about the potential Best Practices Recognition candidates
  • Assist Frost & Sullivan industry analysts with collecting and reviewing both primary and secondary data about potential Best Practices Recognition candidates and the competitive landscape
  • Meet individual and team deadlines and monthly performance measures

Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree is required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in journalism, public relations, media relations, corporate communication, public affairs, or other relative experience is preferred
  • Fluent English (read, write, and speak) is essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites (Word and Excel)
  • Previous experience with Internet-based research
  • Must provide a self-authored writing sample for consideration
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented
  • Take ownership to work independently with remote supervision
  • Can multi-task and meet tight deadlines
  • Disciplined and adhere to high-quality standards
  • Is a strategic thinker; understands how operational activities are vital in supporting the overall strategy of the business
